How does pay work for company drivers?
Company drivers are paid on a percentage of the load based on experience, not by the mile. This provides more consistent and transparent pay, especially on shorter runs.
Does RCA offer benefits for company drivers?
Yes. Benefits include BCBS health insurance with a company-paid credit after 90 days, life insurance, supplemental policy options, 401(k), paid vacation, bereavement leave, maternity and paternity leave, safety and inspection bonuses, and referral bonuses.
What is the pay split for owner operators?
RCA offers an 85/15 split for owner operators and lease purchase drivers. This is one of the most competitive splits in our region and allows drivers to maximize earning potential.
Do owner operators have access to maintenance support?
Yes. Owner operators and lease purchase drivers have access to RCA’s in-house maintenance shop and are billed at a reduced internal rate to help control costs and maximize uptime.
Does RCA help owner operators with tags and compliance?
Yes. RCA assists owner operators with obtaining proper truck tags to simplify the setup process and ensure compliance.
Do you allow riders and pets?
Yes. RCA has both rider and pet policies available for qualified drivers.
What are the minimum qualifications to drive for RCA?
Drivers must have a minimum of two years of OTR experience, no moving violations within the past 18 months, and no accidents within the past 48 months.
